Ransomware group did not leak knowledge from New York hospitals

LockBit, a ransomware gang, stated it will leak stolen knowledge from Carthage (N.Y.) Space Hospital and Ogdensburg, N.Y.-based Claxton-Hepburn Medical Heart if a ransom was not paid by Sept. 18, however the hospital officers stated that didn’t occur, WWNY reported Sept. 21.

The officers stated there have been no main knowledge leaks by LockBit.

The 2 New York hospitals had been hit by a ransomware assault Aug. 31. The assault was carried out by LockBit, who threatened to launch the stolen knowledge on their leak web site if a ransom wasn’t paid.

However Richard Duvall, CEO of the hospitals, said hackers may need not even gotten previous the hospitals’ system’s encryptions.

The 2 New York hospital techniques at the moment are up and working from the assault and are working with the FBI, the New York State Division of Well being, and the state Division of Homeland Safety and Emergency Companies to find out the scope of the assault.
